As an Independent Public School, Karratha Primary School has an active School Board comprising of parent and community representatives, the Principal and staff representatives. The Board plays an important role in contributing to good school governance so that school resources are used efficiently and community expectations and the school's priorities reflect the needs of students. The functions of the School Board are covered by legislation and include both approval and advisory roles. The School Board makes these decisions with the Principal who ensures the decisions adhere to legislative and policy requirements.
Our School Board meets once per term.
Parents are encouraged to nominate for positions on the School Board. An election will be held if there are more nominations than vacant places available. The School Board has a voice in shaping the direction of education and planning in the school.
