In 2025, Karratha Primary School achieved a series of outstanding milestones that reflect the strength of our early years education and whole-school practice. In Term 2, the school was verified as meeting all seven Quality Areas of the National Quality Standard across Kindergarten to Year 2: a rare achievement recognising exceptional early learning, strong relationships, responsive practice and meaningful partnerships with families. Just weeks later, our Public School Review described KPS as a safe, happy and inclusive school, highlighting strong teaching, vibrant learning environments, student leadership and deep community connections, resulting in the highest possible outcome: a five-year review cycle, with our next review not due until 2030. In Term 3, this excellence was further recognised at a state level when Karratha Primary School was named a finalist in two categories at the WA Education Awards and proudly awarded Excellence in Early Childhood Education, cementing KPS as a leader in early years education across Western Australia.
